When a trailer identification plate is damaged, worn, or missing information, the replacement needs to be clear, durable, and carefully recreated.
For this project, Bastion Engraving recreated a Trailmobile data plate for a truck and trailer company in Nanaimo. The original plate had sections missing, so the visible information was carried over and the missing details were researched using available references from the trailer manufacturer.
The new plate was made from anodized aluminum and laser engraved for a clean, permanent finish.
This recreated plate was fixed to the trailer as part of bringing the equipment back up to roadworthiness and compliance requirements.
The finished piece included detailed trailer information such as identification details, manufacturer information, axle details, tire and rim specifications, pressure information, weight ratings, and bilingual compliance text.
Because the plate included small technical details, the layout needed to be carefully recreated so the finished engraving stayed clear and easy to read.
